About Me
Computational Imaging and Vision researcher. Completed my PhD in the Rice Computational Imaging Lab led by Prof. Ashok Veeraraghavan at Rice University, Houston TX USA.
My research interests lie at the intersection of vision, sensing, and AI. Currently working on AI and ISP problems at Qualcomm with the CameraML R&D team in Bengaluru, KA India.
Happy to annouce that I defended my PhD thesis in Jan 2026, and have joined Qualcomm RnD in Bengaluru KA India. Happy to connect and talk about opportunities. Here is my resume.
My Interests
Interested in developing methods for imaging systems or visual display systems using AI and foundational knowledge of CV and optics. "Full-stack" engineer of imaging systems.
News
- Apr 2026: Successfully submitted my PhD thesis titled "Computational Imaging and Vision for Surgery: Frameworks for Skill Analytics, 3D Sensing, and Hemodynamic Monitoring".
- Feb 2026: Happy to announce that I have joined as Qualcomm RnD CameraML team in Bangalore, India.
- Jan 2026: Successfully defended PhD thesis on computational imaging and vision for surgery.
- Oct 2025: Research work on multi-modal remote vital signs estimation accepted in NeurIPS 2025 main track. Happy to have played mentorship role to first author. Stay tuned for more updates
- Mar 2025: Passed PhD proposal. My PhD is centered around computational imaging and vision for surgery and surgical applications.
- Jan 2025: Our paper, “Video-Based Surgical Tool-Tip and Keypoint Tracking Using Multi-Frame Context-Driven Deep Learning Models” got accepted at IEEE ISBI 2025.
- Feb 2024: Our paper, “Passive Snapshot Coded Aperture Dual-Pixel RGB-D Imaging”, a joint work between Rice and IIT Madras, has been accepted to the main conference track at CVPR 2024.
