About Me
I am a final year PhD student in the Rice Computational Imaging Lab led by Prof. Ashok Veeraraghavan at Rice University, Houston TX USA.
My research interests lie at the intersection of vision, sensing, optics and machine learning.
I am on the 2025 job market, happy to connect and talk about opportunities. I am seeking full-time opportunities that are based in India, US, or elsewhere. Here is my resume.
My Interests
I am interested in developing methods for imaging systems or visual display systems using ideas from Image and Signal Processing, Computer Vision, Optics, and Deep Learning. I aspire to gain “full-stack knowledge” of imaging systems and use it for novel applications - and in the process solve sensing problems in healthcare, robotics, autonomous navigation, AR/VR, etc.
News
- Oct 2025: Research work on multi-modal remote vital signs estimation accepted in NeurIPS 2025 main track. Happy to have played mentorship role to first author. Stay tuned for more updates
- Mar 2025: Passed PhD proposal. My PhD is centered around computational imaging and vision for surgery and surgical applications.
- Jan 2025: Our paper, “Video-Based Surgical Tool-Tip and Keypoint Tracking Using Multi-Frame Context-Driven Deep Learning Models” got accepted at IEEE ISBI 2025.
- Feb 2024: Our paper, “Passive Snapshot Coded Aperture Dual-Pixel RGB-D Imaging”, a joint work between Rice and IIT Madras, has been accepted to the main conference track at CVPR 2024.
